Well everyone, it was a super-close race to the finish…but a winner has been crowned in our Not Mom of the Year contest!!
She may be completely ruining her son’s life…but at least she’s got a fancy title to show for it!!! Tina and I are proud to announce the recipient of the prestigious title of Not Mom of the Year:

It’s totally hysterical, FYI. And it gives me so much to look forward to when my son becomes a teenager. There is no doubt in my mind that he will think I’m the most embarrassing individual on the face of the Earth. And I will make it my personal mission to cramp his style at every chance I get.
Because that’s what moms are supposed to do.

Mary and Tina: what a great thing to wake up to!!! It was so very much fun to enter, I met incredible women who I’ve become fast BBF’s with, and I found a group of women who find it OK to not be perfect.
Thank you for creating this outlet for us, the Not Moms Of The Year, to post our feelings and perhaps not excelling in doing everything perfectly, but in loving our children? We kick butt.
This was a lot of fun, and I thank you for introducing us to all the awesome moms there are out there.

Tina and Mary, you make my world better. And so do all the other Not Moms of The Year. Finding a place where people get you, understand you, and making friendships is the reason I began to blog, and that is exactly what has happened. I’m with people who get what it’s about: supporting, uplifting and encouraging one another in the good and not so good days of being a mother.
