“I CAN‘T do that. I wouldn’t be any good at it.”
“I could NEVER do what those women do…they’re so much stronger than me.”
“I’ll do it SOMEDAY. Right now I’m just not ready.”
Have you ever heard yourself saying one of those statements either out loud or in your head? Have you ever said those words and actually BELIEVED them?
Are you standing in your own way of feeling confident and getting your MOM SEXY back?
Then I have a little weekend challenge for you. Watch my video clip below to find out how I realized that the only person that can truly stop you from feeling Mom Sexy is YOU.
GET OVER YOURSELF ALREADY!

Obviously you have been looking in my window and watching my nonstop bitching about how i wish i was in shape and feeling like my old pre mom self…I’d like you to stop that now please.
Ha Ha Ha…sorry!
You will get there…it is definitely a process and can take time!
so true and I’m guilty of wanting results right away and then stopping if i dont see them.
Love this!
The yoga class I used to go to back before kids taught me a lot about this- everyone only cared about what they were doing- not looking around and judging others. Most of the time I even had my eyes closed, so I wasn’t even judging my own reflection, just focused on how I felt.
This is a lesson that I even need to follow myself sometimes. I haven’t gone back to power yoga yet for fear of how bad I will do…but I need to just bite the bullet and get back in there! I will probably take regular yoga for a few more weeks though simply because I don’t want to overdo it and pull something and then not be able to work out at all!
I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE. I hear every week from moms I know how they “cant” take one of my Zumab classes because they have no rythm or they can’t move. I’ve stopped trying to convince them that they can because it’s THEIR wall to get over. They mustn’t be ready to feel their own MomSexy because I see the look on women’s faces after a class of shaking their ass. You can smell their confidence. GREAT VLOG!
Thank you Chrissy!! I see so many Mom Sexy women at Zumba too not worrying about the other people in the room, and it is SO liberating and inspiring. I wish more women would let their guard down and focus on having fun and feeling good and doing something positive for themselves instead of being concerned of what people will think. I would really LOVE to take one of your Zumba classes someday!!
Would love for you to take one too. Wish I was still teaching the “Tone & Tease” class because that was a hoot! I’m trying to put together one as a fundraiser, though.
Let me know if you do the Tone & Tease as a fundraiser for sure. I would love to make the trip down and help promote it!!
Will do! I am actually in the process of trying to find a good location for it. I have a partnership going with our local hospitals and I am trying to see if they’d give me a space, otherwise I am thinking of renting a room at a local hotel where & doing an Expo of sorts. OMG, I have an idea….I’ll email you later on today!
Can’t wait to hear it!
This is great. And you’ve totally inspired me! Check it –>

p.s. I’m totally addicted to your vlogs now, fyi
Love your video!! I wish more moms did this & just let go. I totally do & because of it, I am comfortable in my own skin.
You are SO right! My fat ass IS getting in my way, I need to get over it! HA!
Seriously though. I really need to get back into a workout routine again! Thanks for the motivation!
YOU are RIGHT.
I LOVE this!! I actually started getting over myself about two months ago. I finally went back to working out. I have been consistent, have felt so much better about myself and the way I look. I really hate gyms because I feel so weird, but I joined one, and I LOVE it there. I work out early in the morning, and it is so amazing to see ladies there of different ages. So inspiring!
Doesn’t it feel great to get in shape! I will never go without a good exercise plan for that long again!
You are so cute. This is so so so so so true. No one does give a shit. You are your own worst enemy. Love this Mary.
Thank you! We are our own worst critics and need to get over it!!
LOVE it! I am a firm believer in Moms needing to Get Their Sexy On and not LOSE themselves after becoming a mom. So many women just let themselves go, mostly because they no longer prioritize themselves. I think it is great you are issuing this challenge, and hope it reaches thousands!!
Thank you! I am really hoping that more moms will realize their self worth and strive to get their sexy back, no matter what that may be!
