Ok….so last Friday I tried to get all inspirational and shit with the video I posted about “getting over yourself” and “getting out of your own way” when it comes to taking your Mom Sexy back.
For the record, I think that I do “funny” better than I do “inspirational,” but I’d like to at least take more of a stab at trying to encourage women to feel confident and happy in their own skin, at this point in their lives.
As I was leaving Zumba last night, I started thinking about the whole Mom Sexy concept and I realized that I need to talk about it a lot more often than I do. Because there are plenty of women who NEED to hear about it. Because they DESERVE to have Mom Sexy in their lives.
Before my class, I met a woman who has lost 168 pounds so far on her Mom Sexy journey. I could feel the confidence oozing out of her…and it was contagious. I was proud of her. I was excited for her. And I was inspired by her story. She is the definition of Mom Sexy…and I know that someone reading this today will be empowered by hearing about her.
On that note…I’m going to attempt to start a little thing I am going to call “Mom Sexy Fridays.” Every Friday, I’m going to bring you a post or a video with some sort of Mom Sexy tip, weekend “homework”, or just something that inspired me Mom Sexy-wise that I feel the need to pass on to the masses.
But you guys know that my life gets kinda nutty from time to time, so getting my Mom Sexy on EVERY single Friday might be a little difficult sometimes.
And that is where you all come in. In addition to my Mom Sexy Friday posts and vlogs, I’d like to invite all of you to submit guest posts or videos for this series, in the hopes of sharing your story and inspiring other moms out there to get their groove back, and acquire the confidence that they are entitled to.
I even had my blog guru make me this cool little button for all of you Mom Sexy ladies who hop on board my bandwagon:
I sincerely hope that you will consider getting your Mom Sexy back with me, and sharing with other women anything that inspires you and makes you feel good about yourself, inside and out. If you are prone to peeing your pants at Zumba, don’t wear blue yoga pants. Always wear black. I learned the hard way that the shade of blue really emphasizes the pee.
But I’m still Mom Sexy dammit. Because I can openly blog about pissing myself without one single shred of embarrassment.
